2014年3月、セルビアのパンチェヴォで、小さなダックスフントのLeoが、Nikolina Vuceticを襲っていた大型犬に向かって飛び出した。Leoは少女を逃がしたが、自らは重傷を負い、2日後に亡くなった。2015年、住民たちは児童公園のそばにLeoの銅像を建て、「大きな心を持つすべての小さな英雄」に捧げた。
