Bailey is a roughly 3-year-old pit bull. Public reports citing Pennsylvania authorities and the Central PA Humane Society said she was found in a Williamsburg home in a state of severe injury and starvation.

What happened and verification

The reports alleged that a juvenile tried to break Bailey’s neck and repeatedly struck her head with a metal bat. Shelter materials also described a skull fracture, stitched wounds, and a body weight of about 25 pounds.

Bailey’s sibling was reportedly found dead in a box, with neglect and starvation cited by the humane society. Bailey later received veterinary treatment, pain control, and a careful feeding plan. The injury image in this archive is masked.
