Story

Keiko was captured near Iceland, became famous through Free Willy, and later entered a high-profile rehabilitation project.

His return to open water was historically important but did not become a simple, complete reintegration into wild orca life.

Keiko is archived because his life exposes both public compassion and the limits of repairing captivity.
