Nemo A534 was a U.S. Air Force German Shepherd sentry dog in Vietnam who protected handler Robert Throneburg after both were wounded in a 1966 attack.

Story

Nemo and Robert Throneburg were wounded during a Tan Son Nhut patrol, and Nemo guarded his handler afterward.

The archive records the sentry role and the bodily cost of that protection.

Nemo is archived because military working dogs often serve as the first warning and the last guard.
