Story

Judy began as a ship dog on Yangtze gunboats and became valued for warning crews of aircraft and danger.

After shipwreck and imprisonment, she was registered as a POW and remained a source of courage for sailors in Japanese camps.

Judy is archived because her story links warning, survival, companionship and the moral weight of animals caught in war.
