Trakr, a German Shepherd police dog, travelled from Nova Scotia to Ground Zero and helped locate survivor Genelle Guzman-McMillan after the 9/11 attacks.

Story

Trakr travelled with James Symington to Ground Zero and indicated signs of life under the rubble.

The archive includes both the rescue contribution and the physical toll and later cloning debate.

Trakr is archived because disaster rescue depends on animal bodies, training and risk.
