Fan said her Samoyed suddenly began panting, vomiting and crying late that night. While she waited for a veterinarian, another neighbor also brought out a dead dog. The symptoms looked like poisoning, and she called police. Later, she and her family searched the compound for suspected poisoned food and submitted what they found.

Administrative penalties and fluoroacetate

The administrative decisions reported by Red Star News said the two dogs ate the sausage and died. Fluoroacetate salt was detected in the sausage and in the heart blood of Fan’s dog.
