According to later posts by netizens on Xiaohongshu and other platforms, relevant departments in Changzhou had begun handling the Wuxing Park stray-cat case. The screenshot states that several departments worked together through the day and that police eventually located the suspected cat abuser; the poster said they were called to the police station after 11 p.m. to complete a statement.

The same follow-up account also says that an auntie who helped feed the cats placed 9 relatively friendly cats at Jinjian Pet Hospital across from the park for deworming, infectious-disease checks, and basic care. Nearby residents were reportedly willing to adopt some cats, and the examination costs were said to be covered by the sheltering side. Another comment said 12345 had replied and that a later notice might appear on an official account.
